The Bible teaches us that we can KNOW 100% that heaven would be our home. Many would think that there is NO WAY to know about heaven, or that you must just be a "good" person and hope that your "good" outweighs your "evil" , but the Bible gives us a certainty that we can be confident in TO KNOW without a doubt
1st John 5:13 " These things have i written unto you, that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life. and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God."
THE BIBLE WAY TO HEAVEN:
1. Understand you are a sinner:
The bible clearly teaches us that we have a sin nature; Romans 3:10 "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:" Romans 5:12 "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:"
2. Realize there is a penalty for sin:
The Bible declares that there is a punishment and penalty for our sin: Romans 6:23a "For the wages of sin is death;" Revelation 21:8 " But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."
3. Understand that Jesus Christ died for our sins:
Oh what a wonderful thought to know that God loves us so much that He saw our desperate need and made provision for it! Romans 5:8 " But God commendeth his love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 6:23 " For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." We understand that it was not just His death, but His glorious resurrection as well, THE GOSPEL: 1st Cor 15:1-4
4. You must call upon Christ to be your Saviour:
Romans 10:9-13 " That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. " We must understand that it is not some well worded prayer that saves us, but the person of the Lord Jesus Christ and His finished work on the Cross for our sins. Acts 4:12 " Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved."
Call upon Him today!
Do you understand and admit that you are a sinner?
Do you take God at His word that He has provided a way for you to be eternally forgiven and justified in His sight?
Would you call upon him today as the Bible teaches us to do?
Don't put it off for tomorrow!
There is an admonition in scripture for us to ACT today! The Bible warns us that in reality we ONLY HAVE TODAY! Proverbs 27:1 " Boast not thyself of tomorrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth." James 4:14 " Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away."
